2023 Young Voices Awards
Congratulations to Aurellea (Kiara) Davis in Year 10, for being awarded highly commended in the Senior Photography category, of the 2023 Australian Catholics Young Voices Awards, by Australian Catholics magazine, sponsored by Australian Catholic University (ACU).
Kiara’s entry titled ‘Journeys through inhabited spaces’, is a photographic response to the 2023 Young Voices Awards theme, ‘Climate for Change’.
Kiara’s work will be published in the upcoming Australian Catholics Spring edition.
We are thrilled to announce that Layla McKee from Year 10 is amongst a group of sixty finalists in the 2023 University of New England School Acquisitive Art Prize. There were more than 500 art entries this year, from fifty schools, and these works demonstrated the wonderful array of creativity and imagination, as well as skill of the students. Layla’s painting was a postmodern appropriation of Vincent van Gogh’s ‘The Bedroom’ 1888 painting. Congratulations Layla, we are looking forward to hearing about these results later this month.
